I think it may be my favorite spot to take photos. Crescent Beach. It’s a bit of a trek from Aldergrove, but oh-so-worth-it.
Tanya and I were back and forth on the day of the session. Yes. No. Will the weather be good? We wanted to capture her family in the golden hour, so it had to be sunny. Crescent Beach did not disappoint. I have so many favorites. The bikes were a perfect touch and kept the kids occupied. The water reflected these amazing pinks when the sun was setting. I could have continued shooting for another 10-15 minutes but Josh and Noah had their first day of grade one the next day. They needed rest! Besides the kids were ready to be done.
I had no idea what to expect when my friend Marie mentioned that the location for the session would be at the Blue Heron Nature Reserve. What an amazing location. Marie and I scoped out a spot with good light and a pretty backdrop and then I snapped a ton of photos. Here is a small sampling of what we did.
Laura really wanted the un-posed and hanging out with the family kind of photos. My favorite kind of photos.
Marie, I heart this B&W of you. You are so cool.
It’s no small challenge to photograph 9 grandchildren with their grandparents.
The family getting ready to pose.
The ladies.
These two recently are engaged.
Afterwards, we headed back to home base for some trampoline photos. Auntie Marie with her nephews and nieces.

They are all wonderful! I do really like the ones on the tramp in their jammies with their auntie! So special.

Thank you both for hanging out and having fun with this! Looking forward to your wedding in just over 3 weeks!!!

I recognize some of the locations ; the two “lovebirds” make a wonderful couple. We’re getting some of the excitement even at this great distance.
