The Huggett family reunion was in celebration of Nana’s 90th birthday. The family photos were a surprise for her. I know I’m biased but I think the gift of photos is PERFECT for loved ones.
Nana is full of spunk and as sharp as a tack. She immediately started telling me her life story and gave me advice on products for healthy young looking skin. She would know! Look at her!
The Huggett’s home is so beautiful. Styled perfectly, I could’ve spent all sorts of time photographing the details of the house.
The beautiful Christmas tree and the 4 grandchildren. You may recognize Gavin from his 6 month shoot.
The Huggett family altogether. Four generations.
Including the 2 dogs.
Nana and her great-grandchildren.
Gabrielle.
Madeline. This little girl LOVED the camera. She was thrilled (and so was I) when we went and did a mini-session after family photos.
Last but not least, Dana and Will wanted some photos together. Um. SURE! Once I start taking photos, I can’t stop.
Thanks for everything, Huggetts! Your home is lovely and it was a pleasure to meet you all.
Meet Mr. Gabriel Pieter. He is 10 days old here. So new, so precious.
This was also the only time he slept for us!
It is an amazing experience to welcome a newborn into your family. The expressions on their faces as they gaze at their new son and brother say it all. Wonder. Amazement. Joy. Thankfulness.
A proud new papa. If you look closely at the image on the right, you’ll see the telltale crossed eyed newborn look. Love that.
This has to be my favorite photo from this session. I just feel the moment when I look at the photo.
Thank you for allowing me into your home to photograph such a precious and fleeting time. Talk soon!

totally a beautiful set of pictures … great job!
-
Oh wow Karin, those pictures are definately beautiful! I just love the one of Marietta holding Gabriel in the last pic, there’s something so tender about it.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting this charming little gentleman. At 6 months, he’s got chubby little rolls in all the right places!
He was completely enamoured with his tiny toes.
Such a sweet little face.
Loved the wartime propaganda prints and loved the sectional.
Gavin was hilarious in front of the mirror. Checking it out, smiling at that ‘other’ baby. P.S. I adore this mirror!
I snuck in a photo with mom. It’s one of my faves!
It was so nice to meet you both and can’t wait to meet the rest of the gang soon!
-
Wow – they are so crystal clear! Amazing shots – what a cute baby too!
-
aww…he’s adorable and the pics are beautiful! Well done!
-
Beautiful photos, Karin. I love the shot of his little tush – hope he didn’t piddle on the blanket! what a cutie.
-
Thankyou, thankyou!!! We love what you have done. Can’t wait to see the rest.

oh gosh…beautiful!!!
Patty & I have known each other for quite some time. We met working together at Ipsos where we became fast friends. When she became pregnant, we immediately planned a photo shoot. Due to extenuating circumstances we postponed the session until Raine was 3 months old.
On a side note, Patty is a talented freelance web designer.
The fabric of his quilt made the perfect backdrop. Green is definitely his color.
He is going to be a heart-breaker.
Keeping it real with a wee bit of drool. *wink*
I have a bit of a thing for side profiles.
He’s at that age, where he wants to suck his hands. Happy as a lark.
After a snack, he zonked (spelling?) out and let us play.
Just so you all know — this is not normal. 3 months and sleeping baby photos? Nope. Still can’t get over it.
Patty & Alex, you have such a beautiful baby boy! Thanks for having me.
-
Beautiful photos, Karin. What a gorgeous little guy! Love his hair and I can’t believe he slept like that!
-
Love love love the pics Karin! He is a gorgeous baby and you did a fab job. Love the first shot, and the one of him sleeping in the window!
-
I love the side profile one! Beautiful – your talent shows through! The last two are fabulous – he looks like a doll! Wonderful work Karin.
-
Kari, what absolutely lovely photos. You’ve captured so much more than just a beautiful baby (which he is)
Thank you so much for this moment in time.
Julie Favella, a very delighted grandma! -
Love these, such a cutie. Great colors in the second last one, thats my fav.
-
Julie is one of my dearest friends…..we are ‘grandmothers in common”. We stroke each other’s g-children photos and have such fun doing it. Raine is darling. He is so alert…my favorite is the first sleeping photo…that is awesome. I also love the B&W profile. There is nothing more beautiful than a baby sleeping. They appear so innocent and peaceful…..after all, aren’t they talking to the angels?
Thanks for sharing…….
-
OOOOPPPSSS….the 2nd sleeping one is my favorite…….glad I checked……that is just too precious.
-
wat leuk dat je zelfs nog nederlands spreekt!!!!! Just love you work. L.O.V.E! 🙂
-
Thank you for such beautiful photos!
Emma, how old are you?
This little girl is so wonderfully outgoing and chatty. By the end of the session, she was holding my hand like we were bff.
And how can you resist her eyes?
When all else fails, hang them upside down! Guaranteed giggles.
We had to wait patiently for this spot. I suppose it’s a popular place for photos. There’s something about the 3:1 ratio of photos that appeals to me.
Love me some vintage cowgirl boots. These awesome boots belonged to Maggie when she was a little girl.
-
beautiful stuff Karin! Gorgeous colors, and they are really a lovely family. Love the upside down pic and the “3:1” ratio pic… it’s perfect!
-
Love these Karin! Definitely worth the wait for the 3:1 photo! That one needs to be printed BIG! 🙂
-
Love these pics Karin. Emma’s “peace sign” had me laughing.
-
amazingly bright photos – I love it when they are such clear shots, like the first one!
-
They look awesome, Karin! You did a great job 🙂
-
I love this fall session – beautiful! I think I share your love for 3:1 images 🙂
Terryl - What a great gift for Nana! Absolutely beautiful – you guys will never regret having these images for years to come and great work Karin!
