I love this family! When we moved to Aldergrove, Oliver and Sara were one of the only families we knew at church… I should say that I knew them. Oliver, Sara and I were classmates throughout high school. And Sara and I through elementary school. Now we hang out on a regular basis. Always a good time.
It’s really my favorite thing to take photos of people I already know.
I sent Sara the ‘what to wear’ email and she immediately freaked out went shopping. All I can say is GOOD JOB!
Little Emma is only 2 months old and SO adorable.
Seriously. These girls are gorgeous!
The candid shot.
We’ve talked a while now about taking these photos. A year or two? But with Jaimee officially planning a move overseas and airplane tickets booked, it was time to make it happen.
There was some waffling on whether or not to have the horses in the photos, but c’mon! this is a family that loves their horses. I’m so glad that it worked out.
Hermen is not only the horse whisperer but also the dog whisperer. Bessie was incredibly co-operative and posed like no other dog I’ve seen. Not that I’ve photographed that many dogs, but usually after the first couple photos they are done.
I think this is my favorite family photo from their family session because it is exactly how I picture them. And it was one of the first photos from the session.
But there are many more good ones… like these of Hermen and Stephanie… so perfect!
You see that black and white photo? They are laughing at me. I’m holding the horses while photographing the family and I’m desperately hoping that nothing will spook the horses.
I also really really love this photo. So casual. I can see it printed big…
We had some really pretty light. That sunshine makes my day.
I always love a family silhouette.
So I’m officially in love with photographing horses and families. 🙂 So much fun!
Thanks for looking!

Love this session! The horses really add a neat touch. So them. (-:
Planning photo sessions are never easy. Every year I’m reminded when we have our own family photos taken, how much time and effort are expended on something that appears relatively easy. Particularly coming up with the right outfits. I spent at least 3 days shopping and still ended up just wearing my original, found-it-in-my-wardrobe outfit. And the decision between my-kids-are-best-in-the-morning and the-evening-light-is-wonderful is a bit of a toss up. But when it all comes together, it IS so worth it.
And Alicia rocked the outfits! Love the bright colors. When in doubt, go bright!!! 🙂
Snuggle-buggles. 🙂
Tickles and dog-piles are pretty common.
Too cute right?
Looks like Lucas is on a mission and Caleb is having a blast.
I love a family that doesn’t mind to get a little dirty or wet!
I love this one of Lucas.
And last but not least, a couple photos of just Harold and Alicia. Such a good looking couple!
Thanks for looking!

well done,very nice!
Alyssa is a super fun and talented fellow photog and a friend of mine. She took our beautiful family photos a couple of weeks ago at the pumpkin patch in Everson and then came up to Aldergrove to have her family photos taken by me. Always a good time. And I think we’ve started a tradition. Ja?
Alyssa had this great idea to make a Merry Christmas sign. Perfect for a holiday card. 🙂 Wish I thought of it myself.
I had to laugh at Alyssa’s expectation for her family’s performance. Basically, she said she would be happy if the family was all in one photo. Didn’t really matter what they were doing. LOL! Who CAN’T relate to that?
Oh Maddy, you are a superstar!
Eric is totally checking out his hot wife. 🙂
Thanks for looking!

these are super gorgeous pics!!! all the outfits are great, especially evan’s hat 🙂
This family is full of fun, love and laughter and a little bit of craziness. Their trips to visit family and friends in the Fraser Valley are a whirlwind of activity. I’m so happy that they were able to find the time to have photos taken!
I just adore everything about this photo. Kate’s eyes squeezed tight as she hugs her baby sister. Aleiah’s smile. Asher’s Grade 1 cool dude.
