Post #10 of Personal Project 52 weeks. Okay a wee bit of warning. If you are squeamish, donβt look at the top right photo. Itβs in black & white to soften the blow. * I always thought that by default any child of mine would love technology. As if technology-loving is a predisposition. Inherited. And…

Reason #14 of why I love being a photographer. When your nephew is just 7 days old, you are welcome to visit for 3 hours. No problem. Usually, I visit 30 minutes. 1 hour tops. Wishing to stay much longer but knowing that the family needs their sleep, their space and that everyone else is…

Post #9 of Personal Project 52 weeks. It has been quite a week. Mattias started the week sick and puking. Noah was sick and puking by Thursday night and all day Friday. For once, I was spared. God knew that I would need my strength for something different. Art sustained a work injury on Wednesday….
-
You almost make me sick with your multi-tasking, Martha Stewart-ness. That is if you weren’t so darn nice.
-
I used to get the Kraft magazines – they are so good, thanks for the reminder, I think I’ll sign up again. Glad to hear that Art is on the mend, though that is awful news to hear. I hope that his recovery goes smoothly and that life with this new adjustment comes easily.
Great pictures. -
I just love your food photos, Karin. You should definitely pursue your cookbook/recipe compilation avec photos… it would be such a great keepsake. Sorry to hear about Art’s injury, that’s not fun at all. Praying for a speedy and successful recovery!
-
I love those Kraft magazines too, they’re great! We’re praying Art has a good recovery. Thinking of you guys.
-
I am also in love with those shortcakes – please tell me if you ever figure out the recipe! I’m hoping that Art is feeling okay and starting to recover.
-
Hey you! Thinking of you guys through this all. I think Al actually gasped when he heard in church π Too close for comfort. I hope you have the same hand surgeon as Al did in Langley. He apparently is the best of the best we’ve been told by many other medical professionals. Wishing you both much strength and patience through the long wait for the best possible recovery and outcome of this. Take care… thanks for posting.
-
ouch ouch ouch!!! so sorry to hear about Art’s hand. Praying that it heals up ok. that is scary! Hoping that the pain is manageable too.
And those shortcakes from Krause are soooooo good.
I hope next week is a better week for you guys!
-
Sorry to hear about the injury! Hope the healing goes well, Art!
-
Wow- quite the week you’ve had!! Hoping Art’s hand heals quickly! Your pictures are awesome and your cooking skills are just as impressive! You are one domesticated diva!!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing my 7 day old nephew. I wanted to share one of my favorites. ~ K

Post #8 of Personal Project 52 weeks. * Self-timer family photos. Noah eagerly participated by pressing the shutter and running to get into the photo. He was incredibly pleased with his role as photographer. This is one of the outtakes. We did get some great shots. *Happy dance* * We went to Victoria this week….
-
Art and tree’s I don’t know!!!! Nice pictures again!

Joni - I’ve been patiently waiting to see the picture of Art’s hand…and now I’m almost sorry I looked! You really have to stop taking picture of food as it’s not helping my diet AT ALL (you just make it all look so yummy)
Bep - Were to start? My mouth water if I see all that yummy food! That finger groose(?)you right out after that nice food(bad combo) I like Art’s hair,Dad would say nice and easy.Mattias is funny on his hands and feet. Thanks for your update!Love it!
Lindsay - Karin- I just love these posts! They always make me smile, including your comments…there is something about them that make me crack up…for me, this week, it was the fact that you took a picture of Art’s gory hand. You’re a die hard and I love it!
leanne - Yikes, I can’t believe that. I hope it happened at work at least so he is covered. Poor guy!
Nicole - Okay – that rice dish looks positively yummy. I’ll bet I’m the only one in my family who would love it. So therefore I can never make it. Cause I usually only make what my kids will eat. π You’ll get there …. haha
Pic of Art’s hand? Cool. But that’s the nurse in me. However, it does look painful. I don’t blame you for taking pics. When Braden was in the hospital last year, we took pics of him too. With chest leads and everything. π
arenda - what a great photo of a very sore looking hand! poor art! π
love your food photos, too (esp the potato soup, looks so delish!)!
