\"Aldergrove<\/p>\n

* Celebrated a joint birthday party in style. With a pony. Noah didn\u2019t dare go on. Mattias loved it. Pretty typical. We all had a blast at the party and were WIPED when we got home. They crashed. Likely due to the copious amounts of sugar that were readily available to them. Just like a birthday party should be.<\/p>\n

* It\u2019s getting cooler out. Mattias begs to go \u201cowside\u201d early every morning. Most days, he succeeds. Even in the pouring rain he is happy to be outside. Unlike Noah and I.<\/p>\n

* Apple Caramel Pecan Cheesecake<\/a>. Yeah. Suffice it to say: it is not kind to your behind. Or in my case, my stomach. It took me forever to make because I kept on running out of ingredients. Maybe because I miscalculated 8 tbsp of butter to be 1 cup. 8 tbsp = 1\/2 cup. So then I doubled the crust to compensate for the disgusting amount of butter. And I doubled the sugar in the caramel sauce because it also contained far too much butter. I now have a pot of caramel sitting in my fridge. Caramel lattes. Caramel sundaes. I\u2019ll make anything with my new ingredient. I hate waste. Wanna come over and have some caramel?<\/p>\n

* The tricycle that still has not been ridden.<\/p>\n

* Any snack or meal ends up all over his face. And his jeans. And his shirt. And the floor. This too shall pass.<\/p>\n

* Still picking strawberries. They make up for the tomato disaster. The tomatoes were all inflicted with blight. It is a really sad thing to watch hundreds and hundreds of tomatoes rotting. Now I know why \u2018hothouse\u2019 is so popular. Art has a cool idea to convert our garden<\/a> into a green house<\/a>. That way we can start earlier and harvest earlier and hopefully avoid the rainy spell that caused so many to lose their crops.<\/p>\n

* Partners in crime having some fun. I love these kids!<\/p>\n

* I am thankful when I\u2019m dragged outside early in the morning because I get to see the beauty of the simple things. Like the glistening of the blades of grass in the dew. And the sounds of the morning like chirping birds. It\u2019s so peaceful and fresh. There is a darker side: the alarming number of spider webs every morning everywhere in our backyard! You really do need to watch where you walk.<\/p>\n

* Self-portrait before a photo session. I gotta do a series of these self-portraits.<\/p>\n
